The Volga Exercise Place is located at 217 Kasan Avenue, which is across the street from the Volga Auditorium.
The 1,800 square ft. facility has been a day care, a credit union, and now a fitness facility.
The wide range of
cardio equipment consists of 3 treadmills, 3 elliptical trainers, 3 types of bikes and a NexStep machine.
The
Cybex resistance machines don't miss a muscle. This is a complete set of equipment that will challenge your lower
body (5 stations), upper body (5 stations) and back/abs (5 stations). Beginners are encouraged to start slow and work
up to doing 1-2 sets of 8-10 exercises. The facility is also equipped with free weights, dumbbells, a smith machine and two
stability balls. With this equipment, beginners through advanced fitness enthusiasts will receive an outstanding workout.
The Volga Exercise Place also has a play room for small children. No Excuses! Our muscles
are made for use and will gain strength no matter how old we are.
A coin-operated tanning booth is also available and
a massage therapist operates on site.
Reported problems are dealt with immediately by either replacing the broken machine or making necessary repairs.
For membership information, call (605) 627-6300. All new members will receive a key card for 24-hour access
and an orientation session, which includes a demonstration of all machines and some free weight exercises that can be performed.
A workout plan is usually designed with the new member at the end of the session.
